Dwayne A. Bennett, JD

President of Yes to Success, LLC, Founding Partner of the John Maxwell Team, and Founder of Bennett Training and Consulting Solutions


As a leading expert in the industry, Dwayne is a highly sought International Speaker, Trainer, and Coach with a specialty in helping Human Resource Partners equip supervisors and helping supervisors develop themselves. He is a two-time author of "From Worry to Winning: The 7 Winning Ways to Your Personal Success" and "The 7 Winning Ways to College Success: From High School to College Graduate." Dwayne is also a Lead Certified Mentor Trainer for Virginia Mentoring Partnership, Creator of "The Conscientious HR Professional Network" and "The Worry to Winning Solution,” as well as a Toastmaster International member. He is a graduate from both RVA Works Entrepreneurial Institute and Ever Increasing Word Training Center. Dwayne holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from North Carolina Central University’s School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Virginia Tech. He enjoys spending his time with his spouse, two kids, and new grandchild, as well as volunteering for various organizations.


Stephen Battalia

Head of HR at International Baccalaurate


Over the past 25+ years, Stephen Battalia has led and developed strategic HR consulting projects while leading HR departments as CHRO for Nestle, SA and Total Wine, with a special focus on Leadership and talent management. Stephen has extensive training and development experience developed while serving 25 years with Nestle SA, a company with over 330,000 global employees. He has assisted with Leadership Development and business process change and improvement project in China, India, South Africa, and 50 other countries. Stephen holds a BA degree in American Civilization from the George Washington University. He has completed a strategic HR education program at Harvard; Authentic Leadership training from The London Business School.


Joi Smith

Director of People & Culture at Amify


As the head of the People department, she is responsible for setting the strategic direction and managing all candidate and employee programs within the company. Her career passion and experience lies in designing and championing dynamic and unique people oriented programs aimed at nurturing the employee experience in order to positively impact the bottom-line. Joi's background spans several industries including advisory and IT consulting, cyber security analytics, law and advertising. Joi holds a MBA from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Advertising from the University of Colorado. She is an avid runner, dancer, baker and animal advocate.
