Digital WEB & Content Administrator - FILLED

Are you a multi-talented professional with technical skills? Do you care about what you do? Then become a leader for Northern Virginia (NOVA) SHRM, the 2nd largest Chapter in the state of Virginia! We are currently seeking a Digital Web & Content Administrator to administer digital content via our website and Active Campaign consistent with NOVA SHRM’s reputation, brand and professional image. This is a demanding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills, a creative mind, and an eye for design.  

Please note this is a part-time, paid position, with expected hours at 10-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Post chapter events, campaigns, and promotions from board members, sponsors and partners on website in accordance with branding guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate with board of directors, members, and external partners to solicit and exchange ideas, facilitate information sharing, and foster creative collaboration on web content and e-campaigns.
  • Create promotional email campaigns via Active Campaign for optimal hit rate and effectiveness. Design and refresh templates semi-annually.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise on website architecture to enhance user experience. Make recommendations for improvements and/or migration to appropriate web platform and service.
  • Help deploy and administer chapter productivity and collaboration tools (Google Groups, Gmail calendar, etc.), including assigning and maintaining users and permissions.
  • Develop and maintain style guides in support of the chapter’s brand power.
  • Track and maintain web site and digital marketing statistics.
  • Attend quarterly monthly board of directors and related committee meetings (Membership).
  • Represent the chapter in the human resources community.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree, or in pursuit of degree
  • Strong English language skills and ability to write and edit copy
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire to delight the customer
  • Pride in ownership and appreciation for high-quality work
  • Proactive, innovative and collaborative
  • One (1) year experience in a fast-paced office environment
  • One (1) year experience in information technology or web content management
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, web text editors, and familiarity with marketing tools such as YM and/or Active Campaign
  • Content management system (CMS) experience. YM is a content management system that has multiple website pages, including a payment system for setting up ecommerce to take payments for events and membership. The selected individual needs to be comfortable using this type of system and navigating around it.
