Certifications Coordinator

Critical position on the NOVA SHRM board of directors as the majority of our programming is accredited. The Certifications Coordinators submits all certification event details with HRCI and National SHRM. Understanding of the organizational requirements for both and in order to obtain the Activity ID prior to our events is the overall goal.

 

SIG CO-LEADER: Data analytics and HR Technology (DA&T) SIG

NOVA SHRM is currently recruiting for two co-leaders to help lead our Data Analytics and HR Technology (DA&T) Special Interest Group (SIG). As SIG Co-Leader, you will be responsible for planning and hosting quarterly events related to the field of data analytics and HR technology. This includes identifying speakers, coordinating event logistics and marketing events. Experience in data analytics and/or HR technology preferred. 

Activities include:  

  • Identifying timely topics for the SIG
  • Finding, interviewing and securing speakers for events
  • Coordinating event logistics including space, refreshments and delivering opening and closing remarks at events
  • Marketing events and promoting the NOVA SHRM organization

Estimated Time Commitment: 10 hours during event month; less during non-event months

This position requires strong organizational and event planning skills; as well as professional presence and communication skills.

 

SIG Co-Leader: Talent Acquisition & Management (TAM) SIG

NOVA SHRM is currently recruiting for a co-leader to help lead our Talent Acquisition & Management (TAM) Special Interest Group (SIG). As SIG Co-Leader, you will be responsible for planning and hosting quarterly events related to the field of talent acquisition and management. Activities include:  

  • Identifying timely topics for the SIG
  • Finding, interviewing and securing speakers for events
  • Coordinating event logistics including space, refreshments and delivering opening and closing remarks at events
  • Marketing events and promoting the NOVA SHRM organization

Estimated Time Commitment: 10 hours during event month; less during non-event months

This position requires strong organizational and event planning skills; as well as professional presence and communication skills. Experience in talent acquisition and management preferred; public speaking experience is a plus.
